Institute of Fire Engineers - Fire, Safety, Security, Disaster and Hazardous Management !

Institute of Fire Engineers (IFE) Nagpur has been established up under Indian Society for Technology Development (ISTD) in 2001 with the aim to develop Fire, Safety, Security and Hazardous Management education in the country. The promoter of the trust Shri A.K.Pravin Singh is the founder and promoter of the Fire Safety Education in DTE and MSBTE under higher technical education, Govt. of Maharashtra in 1999. Institute of Fire Engineers (IFE), Nagpur is an educational and a professional body under ISTD.

Institute of Fire Engineers (IFE) Nagpur comes into being under Indian Society for Technology Development (ISTD) Nagpur. A Trust was founded in 2001 with the aim to develop Fire Safety, Security and Disaster Management education in the country. The Institute of Fire Engineers management is the Pioneer in the Fire Safety Education since 1996.

Institute of Fire Engineers (IFE) Nagpur has been set up to provide industries with qualified hands in Fire, Safety, Security & Hazard/Disaster Management. It is under UGC Recognised Universities as PTU Jalandhar, MGU, KSOU, TGOU for Fire Safety & Disaster Management education professional courses as Post Graduate Diploma, Graduation, Advance Diploma, Diploma & Certificate.

It is also affiliated by Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Directorate General of Training (DGT), Govt. of India under National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) for Industrial Training Institute (ITI) in Fire Technology and Industrial Safety Management after proposals accredited by Quality Council of India (QCI). The Institute is an Institutional member of QCI.

We are also recognised by Directorate of Vocational Education and Training (DVET) and Maharashtra State Board of Vocational Education Examination (MSBVEE), Mumbai for Vocational Education in Fire, Industrial Safety and Security courses.

It is a Vocational Training Provider (VTP) of Fire and Safety Engineering sector in MES recognised by DGE&T, Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Govt. of India and registered under Maharashtra State Skill Development Society (MSSDS), Govt. of Maharashtra.

It is a Security training centre under The Private Security Agencies (Regulation) Act, 2005 (PSARA), Govt. of India.

IFE upholds professional standards within all Government, Semi-Govt., and Private fire sectors by offering assessment of knowledge, experience, and developmentand engages with major stakeholders to offer seminars, conferences, identify and promote good practice and enhance technical networks worldwide.

Apart from imparting professional education the institute has been extending available expertise to various Govt./Semi-Govt./Private organisations. The primary objective of institute is to provide advanced technological skills and expertise to enhance fire services and hazard management. Greater emphasis is also being placed on human resource generation & placement with a view of mitigating employment.
